RExperienceR
My name is Glory and as a catering manager
and event designer for one of Northern California ’s premier wine country
chef’s, I have seen it all, the good and the bad. I hope that I can provide some helpful hints and
pointers from both the cooking aspect as well as event design. Prior to being a catering manager I worked as
an event coordinator for one of the most loved wine makers (at least by me!) in
the county. Of all my experiences none makes me more proud than being a wife and mother of 3.
RPhilosophyR
My philosophy in the
kitchen is that the food that you prepare for your family is a reflection of
the way you feel about them. The
following are some of the principals used while displaying my affection for my
family:
RNatural ingredients –
The more natural and raw the ingredient the more control you have over its true
intended flavor.
RTake risks – Most of
the time we like to stay in our comfort zone, but don’t hesitate to try a
splash of this or a pinch of that to put your own spin on it
RAmbiance– use lights,
music, flowers and beautiful place settings to show your loved ones how
important these meals are to you. Your kids might roll their eyes if you and
your spouse’s music is on in the background, but they will never forget!!
{Billie Holiday on the record player with a glass of wine? Don’t mind if I do!}
RGoalR
My goal is to attempt
to document my family favorites for my children to be able to come back to and
look at some day, while in the meantime sharing the recipes and maybe a good
laugh or two with you!!
